Celebrating My IBM Champion Award: A 2024 Milestone
I’m pleased to share that I’ve been recognized as an IBM Champion, awarded the “IBM Contributor” distinction for 2024 (the image above is an OpenBadge!). This honor reflects my ongoing commitment to contributing to the wider IBM community—from speaking at events and conferences, to developing software on the IBM cloud, to providing feedback to IBM teams, to supporting user groups and forums. I’m deeply grateful for this recognition (and the folks who nominated me).
My Journey Toward the IBM Champion Award
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with IBM in several ways:
- Speaking Engagements – I’ve led an IBM TechXchange session in Las Vegas, sharing best practices and new approaches to solve technical and business challenges.
- Content and Advocacy – I’ve participated in podcasts and contributed to technical how-to guides, and use case studies designed to highlight practical steps for leveraging IBM solutions.
- Community Support – Through user groups and online forums, I’ve offered insights and advice to peers grappling with day-to-day technical hurdles.
- Product Feedback – Whenever I encountered potential improvements or innovative ideas, I connected with IBM product teams to share constructive feedback aimed at strengthening the tools we rely on.
Looking Ahead
I’m excited to continue my work with IBM in 2024 and beyond. This award motivates me to keep sharing best practices, launching new projects, and advocating for the next generation of IBM professionals. Whether you’re new to IBM technologies or a long-time user, I encourage you to explore the Champions program, join user groups, and consider mentorship opportunities.
If you have any questions about the IBM Champions program—or simply want to swap stories about working with IBM—feel free to reach out. I’m here to chat, learn, and share, just as the spirit of the Champions program intends. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with me, and I look forward to continuing our journey of growth and collaboration together.
